It is required by the Archdiocese that all “volunteers” who
have regular contact with student/athletes MUST ATTEND the Safe Environment
Workshop. Please be aware that these workshops may last up to 2 ½
hours. The meeting schedule information is available through the
Archdiocese website here:
Athletic Directors are responsible to update
coaches on this information and to coordinate with parish personnel on retaining
attendance records.
We would also like to bring to your
attention that the Archdiocese will be making random audits of parishes to make
sure they are in compliance. Therefore, it will be in your best interest to
make sure that ALL coaches [not just head coaches] and any new coaches attend
one of the workshops.
